Here's a suggestion: if "the market" is supposed to fix problems, why doesn't "the market" let the digital lock people compete to make locks that ACTUALLY WORK? Why do we have to protect their broken locks in law? You know what would actually prevent people actually copying your actual DVD? If your lock actually fucking worked. But since that is impossible, we must enshrine the fantasy notion of it working in our legal system.
