more on travel
I wrote a big thing on the stuff I've prepped for my trip, but due to a couple misunderstandings with blogger, it is gone. It wasn't all that interesting anyway. Basically in addition to the usual books and magazines the only new things I am trying this time to keep myself entertained will be some Daily Shows and Battlestar Galacticas I have downloaded, and some audio books that I will load onto the laptop as well.
travel and power
I'm tired of learning things. Everything I want to do turns into some big Internet research expedition. So I'm off to Europe. So they are all with the different power. So I assumed I need to buy a power converter. But then I investigate further. iBook (G3 800MHz, Radeon 7500 graphics 32MB): power adapter 100-240V, 50/60Hz Canon S70 CB-2LT charger: 100-240V, 50/60Hz Braun 3615 razor: 12-240V, 50/60Hz So it appears that it is just prong adapters I need, not an actual power converter. Such an exciting modern age we live in. Of course I discover this after buying the power converter at RadioS... the Source. Friday, September 16, 2005
Bush needs to go
Honest to god, I couldn't make this up. President Bush writes a note to Condy Rice: "I think I may need a bathroom break. Is this possible..." Where is he?

Copenhagen unplanned
So far all I have managed to figure out is that Tivoli Gardens is supposed to be good, but it's closed (it closes September 25) and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is supposed to be good, but I find on the web that most of the museum is closed due to rebuilding. sigh Monday, September 12, 2005
when the spin cycle fails
Hmm, I wonder what the Bush administration's two talking points could be?

ATMs and travel
Using your bank card to withdraw money can be handy when in a foreign land. However, I have been reading that many countries only accept 4-digit pins. So if you're using a 6-digit for extra security, you may want to change that before you travel. Sunday, September 11, 2005
alexander stoned to death
Watched Alexander. Not recommended. It is terrible. Do not watch this movie. I gave it 1/10 on IMDB. The current overall rating on IMDB is 5.5/10, which is a pretty awful rating (IMDB ratings for "average" movies tend to be around 7.5/10).

star of battle 2.8
My long-standing theory is confirmed: I think the remainders of the human race are just rats in a maze for the Cylons. The Cylons won the war. All they care about now is religiously-driven resettlement of Caprica and the other human home worlds. Which they can't do until they can make babies. They also, secondarily, want the humans to find Earth so that they can also destroy it and resettle it with Cylons. Ever since Six just showed up on Galactica one day, messed with their heads, and left, I was confirmed in my idea that the Cylons know exactly where the human fleet is.
