about the Omni apps that come with the PowerMac
I saw an interesting presentation about OmniGraffle at MUGOO. Until then, I wasn't sure what the use of it was. The PowerMac comes with OmniGraffle 3.2 Unfortunately, the snazziest feature is to be able to export Visio XML, and for that you need version 4 pro, which is a U$85 upgrade. The PM also comes with OmniOutliner 3.0.1 or so, there is a free upgrade download to version 3.5 Sunday, March 26, 2006
OS X 10.4.5 - Bluetooth prefs not global
As the title says, Bluetooth prefs are per-account. You can turn off discoverability and set Bluetooth off in a primary admin account, and then when you switch to another user account, it's back on and discoverable again, since that is the default. (I have both an admin account I use at home behind my firewall, and a separate non-admin wireless roaming account I use when on another wireless network e.g. at the airport.) So if you want to be sure your Bluetooth is off, you have to set it in each account. HOME - |
