Cape Chignecto is a huge new Nova Scotia Provincial Park with hiking trails.
Here are some links:
* http://www.capechignecto.net/ is supposed to be the main site, but it has been down for weeks.

I found the history of the area quite interesting. It was a major shipbuilding centre.

At the time of Confederation in 1867, Nova Scotia was the most prosperous province in Canada, due mainly to its shipbuilding, lumbering and fishing industries... In those halcyon days, wooden shipbuilding gave Nova Scotia the third largest merchant marine in the world, after England and France, and a reputation for its "wooden ships and iron men".
