My radio station is on the air.
    http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/directory.cgi?autostart=rakerman

There are 21 songs uploaded so far, on shuffle play. 1 hour 43 minutes. 56 kbits, cable/DSL/T1 quality.
No help from Real Jukebox, which had set most of my ID3 tags to "Unknown, Unknown" plus the order I had set for the filenames is reversed from what Live365 expects so when I clicked to set the ID3 from the filename, the artist and track title were reversed.

    Oh well, it's cool anyway.

This link from a friend convinced me that there really is "everything" you could possibly imagine on the web
the gallery of misused quotation marks

I have a fantasy of dyeing my hair blue
(Grover blue) but I don't think I could actually do it. My friend did. It's actually quite an expensive and time-consuming procedure.
There was a write up in the Globe a while back about a guy who did it, but the Globe is one of those sites that for some reason likes to expire all its links and make searching difficult :(

Buffy was very good. Unfortunately the dramatic ending had already been given away by a reviewer in the newspaper this week.
In fairness, that wouldn't have been a problem if the stupid ASN channel hadn't screwed up a few weeks ago and started showing the episodes one week late. Still, another item to add to my list of why all those involved in movie trailers and reviews that give away plot points will be the first against the wall.

Am uploading tracks to Live365 to create my radio station.
    Watching season finale of Buffy.
Since I only watch 3 main shows (Buffy, Gilmore Girls, West Wing) most of my TV viewing is over for this season.

Hmm I wonder if this giant URL will work
Living on the Brink of Disaster in the Congo
a Globe and Mail book review. Depressing stuff.

The government's mining company alone was making something like $800 million a year in the early 1970s.
They got $9.3 BILLION in foreign aid loans from the helpful World Bank and IMF.
And basically, all of that money vanished, eaten up by corruption.

I want to start a radio station myself. I think I will try to put one on Live365 today.

    There, it's fixed now.
    Shrek review.

Nice weather in Halifax today, a bit warm for my taste though.
My wireless thermometer says +28.6 outside but the sensor is in the sun.
I liked it better during the week when it was +10.
I took a bunch of pictures of the Public Gardens on Wednesday.
I should maybe do another Digital Images page,
but I'm not sure if I have enough images yet. I still have a bunch of panoramas to process and photos to send for printing
    at Shutterfly.com
Planning on going to see Pearl Harbour tomorrow.
Saw Shrek yesterday afternoon, posted a review as usual.
Hey, wait a second, the alpha index of movies on my site is all messed up, hrm.

Test 4 of east coast web ring template additions.

Well, I should actually add some links now...
Err I just noticed that the Mac version doesn't have the "automake a link button".
Doesn't really matter, I can just grab it after I make the link in BBEdit anyway.

There, let's give that a try.

Cool this actually looks to be pretty good crossplatform PC / Mac.
The plan is to have this in the background as I update my website, to make an easy "what's new" page,
plus to use it for any random links I find entertaining during the day.
I will have to see how SiteMill, which I use for link checking, will handle it.
It's not going to be happy about web pages it doesn't know about. I think I have it set not to delete.
    It should be fine.
Of course now I will probably never think of another link I want to add.
This whole thing is just an excuse to get me onto the coveted east coast blog ring anyway :)

My main website is at http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/~rakerman/.
These buttons are confusing. Why do I have to log in twice?

    Hrm. Let's try this.
